Join leadership coach GG Johnston, in collaboration with Annie Browning, for a transformative four-day retreat on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula—one of the world’s five Blue Zones, renowned for health and longevity. This intimate gathering will guide you in deepening your intuitive leadership through focused practice, reflection, and integration of natural elements.   • The retreat will be held at Latica Lodge, situated in Los Pargos on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. This area is renowned as one of the world's five Blue Zones, celebrated for the health and longevity of its residents. Latica Lodge offers a serene environment surrounded by lush dry forests and is in close proximity to the beautiful Playa Negra beach.

  • The retreat is scheduled from April 14 to April 18, 2024. Activities officially commence on the evening of April 14. The retreat will conclude the morning of April 18 after breakfast, allowing time for departure preparations. Transportation to and from Liberia International Airport will be coordinated to accommodate these dates. We recommend arriving at Latica between 3 and 4 pm. Note that travel time between the airport and Latica lodge is approximately 1.5 hours.

  • Over the course of four days, each day will focus on a unique theme, integrating Costa Rica’s natural beauty into the experience. The daily itinerary includes:

    • Morning: Guided meditation and reflection sessions.

    • Midday: Intuitive skill-building and integration practices.

    • Afternoon: Personal time for relaxation, exploration or individual sessions with facilitators.

    • Evening: Group discussions, communal dinners and guided GAZE practices. A detailed schedule will be provided upon registration.

  • Latica Lodge offers luxury accommodations with 15 artistically decorated rooms, each equipped with air conditioning and private bathrooms. The lodge features a unique swimming pool resembling a natural river, a yoga studio, and a fire pit for evening gatherings.   • You can register directly on our website via this link. Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate experience, so early registration is encouraged.

  • Participants are advised to bring comfortable clothing suitable for meditation and outdoor activities, a journal for reflections, personal toiletries, and any necessary medications. A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.

  • Yes, transportation to and from Liberia International Airport is included in the retreat package. Further details regarding pick-up and drop-off times will be communicated closer to the retreat dates.

  • The retreat will be led by GG Johnston and Annie Browning. GG specializes in holistic approaches to leadership development, while Annie brings expertise as a spiritual teacher and psychotherapist, guiding transformative experiences.

  • Single and double-occupancy rooms are available at Latica Lodge. You can indicate your preference during registration, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Costa Rica is -6 hours Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The country does not celebrate Daylight Savings Time, so from mid-March to October, the time is the same as Mountain Standard Time (MST) in the United States. From November to mid-March, the time is the equivalent of Central Standard Time (CST) in the United States.

  • In April, Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula experiences warm, tropical weather with average daytime temperatures ranging from 85°F to 95°F (29°C to 35°C). Evenings are slightly cooler, with temperatures in the 70s°F (21°C to 25°C). Light, breathable clothing is recommended.

  • Yes, but we encourage unplugging to fully embrace the retreat experience.

  • Filtered water is available in the open-air living space. Please bring a reusable water bottle.

  • Yes, on-site laundry facilities are available.

  • Retreat Refund & Cancellation Policy
    We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while also honoring the commitments made to our retreat partners. Please review our refund and cancellation policy below:
    Deposit & Payment Terms

    • A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot at the retreat.

    • This deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to a future retreat within 12 months, subject to availability.

    • Full payment is due by February 17, and your spot is not confirmed until full payment is received.

    Cancellation Policy

    • If you cancel on or before February 17, 2025, you will receive a refund of any payments made beyond the deposit.

    • If you cancel between February 17 and March 14, 50% of your total retreat fee (minus the deposit) will be refunded.

    • If you cancel within 30 days of the retreat start, we are unable to offer a refund due to commitments made to our retreat partners.

    Transfer Policy

    • If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person at no additional charge. You must notify us in writing at least 30 days before the retreat start date.

    • In some cases, we may allow you to apply your payment toward a future retreat within 12 months, subject to availability.

    Exceptions

    • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances such as illness, emergencies, or travel disruptions.

    • Refunds and transfers are not granted for no-shows or for participants who leave the retreat early.
